to the English version!

Don't be too eager to search for mistakes - my English is horrible, I know !

This web page is especially made for ham radio folk, but don't be shy to browse if you aren't a ham.
Maybe there are some useful thoughts for you if you enjoy vacations away from those big tourist traps - like we do!

We are Erika and Gerd Uhlig and we live in Berlin, Germany.
My - Gerd's - hobby is amateur radio and we both love to travel to the Caribbean islands.
We enjoy the Caribbean, most of all the lesser-traveled islands.
We have been to islands that are rather unknown even in our local travel agencies: St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Dominica, Montserrat and San Andrés y Providencia.

I enjoy putting relatively rare islands "into the air".

We have had wonderful times down there and lots of good experiences. If you want to share them with us, simply log in now.

San Andrés and Providencia was the goal of three of our trips in 2001, 2002 and 2004. San Andrés and Providencia is a small archipelago in the western Caribbean, off the coast of Nicaragua. Like always I packed my ham radio stuff in our luggage.
